Scott Demczyszyn, Senior Vice President of OPO Relations

Scott has served in leadership roles in the OPO industry for over 25 years. He brings his experience, commitment, and knowledge of the OPO industry to NORA as Senior Vice President of OPO Relations. Scott’s role is to support NORA’s strategic plans for national growth and expansion of services throughout the country while ensuring a focus on high quality and core values that are aligned with the OPOs, transplant centers, and labs that we support daily.

Scott joined NORA in 2018 as COO and for over 21 years prior, served in multiple roles at the Gift of Life Donor Program. Most recently, he served as the Director of the Clinical Procurement team and as an AOC for 15 years. He previously served on the UNOS Transplant Coordinator committee and the AOPO Standards & Accreditation committee as a Site Surveyor (Past Chair) and surveyed over 24 different OPOs across the nation.

Over the years, he was active nationally with NATCO, UNOS, and AOPO and participated in CMS and UNOS audits. He presented at NATCO meetings, including top case studies at national collaboratives and learning congress on many different topics. He occasionally lectured as guest faculty with the Gift of Life Institute and presented internationally at the TPM European Transplant Coordinator Conference in Prague, Czech Republic.

Scott’s industry experience working with OPOs and Transplant Centers across the country and knowledge of OPO practice and UNOS’s changing policies, along with his commitment to donation and transplantation, makes him a great fit in guiding NORA’s continuing expansion across all regions of the country.
