Dj Leiter, IT Specialist
DJ graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2020 with a degree in Psychology, where he developed a deep interest in human physiology and behavior. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired him to explore Information Technology, leading him to build computers for himself and friends to foster connection during a challenging time. This experience ignited his passion for electronics, encompassing both building and repairing devices, as well as the troubleshooting process.

In late 2023, DJ joined NORA and quickly became enamored with the organization’s mission and culture. After several months as a dispatcher, he was promoted to I.T. Specialist in February 2024. In this role, he leverages his understanding of dispatch operations alongside his technical expertise to create user-centric solutions, troubleshoot hardware issues, and ensure the reliability of systems, operating 24/7, 365 days a year.

Outside of his professional pursuits, DJ is an avid outdoor enthusiast who finds great joy in a variety of activities that allow him to connect with nature. He loves hiking across America and Canada in the Summer and Spring. In the winter months, DJ takes to the slopes for snowboarding. Additionally, he has a passion for gardening, raising rare plants and gardening in his backyard.
