Cole Bachelder

Cole's core competencies are in dispatch, flight coordination, database programming and developing systems and procedures designed to improve operational efficiency and increase utilization. During his 42-year professional career, Cole has worked extensively within the EMS, aviation, and organ recovery communities focusing on the dispatch and coordination of air and ground transportation.

 

Cole's professional career began in 1977 when he worked for the next 12 years as a 911/EMS/Fire dispatcher. During that same period, Cole worked as a paid-on-call Firefighter/EMT in Carol Stream, IL. After 12 years of public service, a transition to the private sector led to positions in the private ambulance industry and the air ambulance industry. Along the way, Cole attained knowledge in many areas, including; insurance billing, computer database development, FAA part 135 operations/aircraft dispatch, and organ recovery dispatch procedures.

 

In 2004, Cole founded One Call Medical Transports. One Call is a company that serves its customers by coordinating ground transportation throughout the world servicing the air ambulance industry, travel assistance companies, and insurers. What began as a home-based start-up in 2004, today One Call employs 30 full-time employees that coordinate over 100 transports each day, through out the world. In 2016, Cole sold his interest in OCMT to the company's key managers.

 

In 2012, recognizing the need for a nationwide transportation solution to serve the organ recovery industry, Cole partnered with Don Jones, to form the Nationwide Organ Recovery Transport Alliance - NORA. The formation of NORA is the culmination of Cole's 40 years of public service and private sector experience.
